Fazaa Card UAE

The Fazaa card is NOT a FAB product. It is not issued by First Abu Dhabi Bank, it is not a bank card, and it has no bank balance to check. If you came here looking for a Fazaa balance, stop: there is nothing to check, and the FAB balance-check methods on this site do not apply to Fazaa. This guide explains what Fazaa actually is, who can get it, what it offers, and what it costs.

For FAB balance checks, see FAB Balance Check. For prepaid salary cards, which are often confused with Fazaa, see Prepaid Card Enquiry.

What is Fazaa?

Fazaa is a UAE social initiative associated with the Ministry of Interior, launched under Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is a membership and discount programme, not a bank. Members show a Fazaa card or use the Fazaa app to get discounts and offers from partner businesses across the UAE.

That distinction matters. A bank card holds money. A Fazaa card does not. It gives you access to discounts. You cannot load money onto it, withdraw cash from it, or check a balance on it. Anyone offering a “Fazaa balance check” is either confused or running a scam. Do not enter card details, a PIN or an OTP on any page claiming to check a Fazaa balance.

The official Fazaa website is fazaa.ae. Always use the official site or the official Fazaa app.

Fazaa tiers

Fazaa has four main tiers: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Discount. There are also Frontline and Hemam categories. Frontline covers frontline workers. Hemam covers People of Determination. The tier you hold decides which discounts and services you can use, with higher tiers offering more.

Platinum is the top tier, Gold is the middle tier, and Silver is the entry paid tier. The Discount tier is a lower-cost option with a smaller set of offers. The exact offers on each tier change over time as partners join or leave, so check the current offers in the Fazaa app before you rely on a particular discount. Do not assume an offer listed in an old guide is still live.

Benefits

Fazaa members get discounts on shopping, restaurants, hotels and travel, healthcare, automotive services, and entertainment. The programme also includes the Fazaa Store, Fazaa Health, and Fazaa Amakin, plus daily car rental, used-car services and long-term car leasing on higher tiers.

The value of a membership depends on how much you use it. A member who regularly uses hotel, travel and car offers will save far more than a member who uses it once a year. Before paying for a tier, look at the current offers in the app and work out whether the discounts you would actually use are worth the monthly cost. The prices below are reported prices, not official prices, and they may have changed.

Who can get a Fazaa card?

Eligibility depends on the route you apply through. The main routes are:

  • Government and semi-government employees
  • Ministry of Interior employees
  • UAE nationals working in the private sector
  • Frontline workers, under the Frontline category
  • People of Determination, under the Hemam category
  • Employees of participating companies that offer Fazaa to their staff

If you work for a participating company, ask your employer whether Fazaa is offered and which tier you can apply for. If you are a UAE national in the private sector, check the Fazaa site or app for the current application route. Eligibility rules can change, so confirm your own eligibility on fazaa.ae before applying.

Free family membership in 2026

In 2026, the Year of the Family, Fazaa offers a free family discount membership with the UAE Ministry of Family. Resident families with at least one child can apply, with one membership per family, free of charge, valid through the end of 2026. Registration is at misc.fazaa.ae.

Do not assume this free membership continues into 2027. It is described as valid through the end of 2026. If you are applying after that date, check the Fazaa site for the current position. If you already hold a free family membership, check its expiry date in the app so you are not surprised when it ends.

Prices: what does Fazaa cost?

Paid-tier prices are not published on Fazaa’s official site, and the reports conflict: one May 2026 report listed monthly prices, while other guides list a joining fee of AED 150 with an annual renewal of AED 70–75. Fees vary by tier — Silver and Discount are generally free, while Platinum and Gold are paid subscriptions. Check the current price in the Fazaa app before paying.

Always confirm the current price in the Fazaa app before you pay. Prices may have changed since May 2026, and the price you are charged is the price shown at the time you apply, not the price in any guide. If a third-party site asks you to pay for Fazaa through its own link, do not use it. Apply only through fazaa.ae or the official Fazaa app.

How to apply

Apply through the official Fazaa website at fazaa.ae, or through the official Fazaa app. For the free 2026 family membership, register at misc.fazaa.ae. You will need to show that you meet the eligibility rules for the tier or category you are applying for. The exact documents depend on your route, so follow the prompts in the official application.

Do not apply through an agent who charges a fee to get you a Fazaa card, and do not share your Emirates ID, passport or payment details with anyone offering to apply on your behalf. If you need help, use the official Fazaa channels only.

Fazaa and FAB: no connection

To be clear once more: Fazaa has no connection to FAB. It is a Ministry of Interior initiative, not a bank product. FAB balance-check methods — the FAB Mobile app, FAB Online Banking, FAB ATMs, phone banking on 600 52 5500, and the PPC portals for prepaid cards — do not apply to Fazaa. A Fazaa card has no balance, no account, and no PPC portal. If you need to check a FAB prepaid salary card, see Prepaid Card Enquiry. If you need to check a FAB bank account, see FAB Balance Check.
